Bastian Fox Phelan
Bastian Fox Phelan is a writer, musician and zinemaker living in Newcastle (Mulubinba), Australia. Bastian is a PhD candidate at the University of Newcastle, researching eco-memoir and the climate crisis. Their first book, a memoir, How to Be Between, was published by Giramondo in 2022. They have published articles and essays in The Guardian, Sydney Review of Books, Island Magazine, Meanjin, The Suburban Review, and Archer Magazine.
