Simon Cleary
Simon Cleary is an Australian writer, barrister, and author of the novels The War Artist, Closer to Stone and The Comfort of Figs. His work has featured in artistic and musical collaborations and adaptations, and includes poetry and shorter fiction. He gave a TEDxUQ 2019 talk on how fiction can help change perspectives and strengthen communities. In 2024 Simon published Everything is Water a non-fiction work that explores the ways rivers connect time, place, environment and community.
