Simon Cleary
Simon Cleary is a writer and barrister, and author of the novels The War Artist, Closer to Stone and The Comfort of Figs. His work has featured in artistic and musical collaborations and adaptations, and includes poetry and shorter fiction. His TEDxUQ 2019 talk was about how fiction can help change perspectives and strengthen communities. Simon is currently immersed in research for a non-fiction work that explores the ways rivers connect time, place, environment and community.
