Maryam Imogen Ghouth
Maryam Imogen Ghouth is of Saudi Arabian, Iranian, and British descent and lives in the leafy suburbs of Dubai, where she makes poetry films that explore psychological themes such as existential crises. Her "Journey of Becoming" series was showcased in Dubai’s arthouse cinema, Akil, in celebration of female artists, and her poem, "Under the Sun," was featured in Alla Dulh’s short film, which premiered worldwide. Her recent work focuses on written poetry, drawing inspiration from nature, science, and the inanimate, with her latest poems appearing in the Sky Island Journal and Vita Brevis Anthology.
