
Manisha Anjali is a writer, artist and researcher born in Fiji. She is the founder of Neptune, a research and documentation platform for dreams, visions and hallucinations. Giramondo published her book Naag Mountain in 2024; it was shortlisted for the Judith Wright Calanthe Award that same year and was highly commended at the 2025 Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards.
Her work has been published by k(not), Portside Review, Best of Australian Poems 2021, ie – for the people we will be, A Clear Dawn: An Anthology for New Asian Voices from Aotearoa New Zealand, Liminal Magazine, Cordite Poetry Review, Lor Journal, IKA Journal and Meanjin. She was the guest editor for issue 41 of Runway Journal, was the poetry editor at The Lifted Brow and has run creative writing workshops and courses with organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
