Brenda Saunders
Brenda Saunders is a Wiradjuri writer living on Gadigal land in Sydney. She has published two chapbooks; her third collection, Inland Sea, was published in 2021 by Ginninderra Press. Brenda’s poetry appears regularly in anthologies and journals both online and in print, including the Anthology of Best Australian Prose Poems 2021, Best Australian Poems 2022, Westerly, Overland, and Plumwood Mountain. She is a member of the First Nations Aboriginal Writers Network (FNAWN) and an editor for Black Cockatoo, which is a part of the Verity La La website. Brenda won the Scanlon Book Prize in 2014 and the Oodgeroo Noonuccal Prize in 2018.
