
Blake Chapman is an expert juggler of many passions. She is an ultimate science nerd, and is fascinated by pretty much every natural thing she has an opportunity to learn about. She works mainly as a grant writer and science communicator, translating complex science concepts into engaging, digestible packages of information targeted towards specific audiences. She also continues to pursue her passion of helping others to better understand sharks, with the aim of generating greater knowledge and respect for these amazing animals. She is an experienced public speaker and provides interactive educational sessions for kids on sharks and other marine animals.
Blake has published two books with CSIRO Publishing: 'Shark Attacks: Myths, Misunderstandings and Human Fear' in 2017 and 'Ocean Animals: The Weirdest, Smartest and Sneakiest Sea Creatures' in 2020.
