Beth Spencer writes across and between genres. Books include the verse memoir Vagabondagen, published by UWAP, and the fiction collection How to Conceive of a Girl, published by Random House, which was runner-up for the Steele Rudd Award. The Age of Fibs (stories, memoir, microlit), winner of the Carmel Bird Digital Literary Award, was published in expanded book form in April 2022. She also published a poetry collection, The Party of Life, and has also won the Age Short Story award. Her work has frequently been broadcast on ABC-Radio National. She has received numerous fellowships from the Australia Council Literature Board and has received a Veruna Writer’s Fellowship. She lives on Guringai & Darkinjung land on the NSW Central Coast.
